Best Seafood imho is at the very end - there are two places left and right. Both do equally good oysters, clams etc. Fried stuff can be very greasy if you like that, so the less cooking - the fresher the food - the better. The gulls know what you guys down below are eating, so can be a pest if you sit outside. Once there was a Tito Puente seafood place, but sadly, Tito passed away before it was fully built. Boy, seafood and rhythm - that would really have been something!!!

Anyone know whether there is any bed and breakfast accomodation on City Island?

I stayed at Le Refuge in the mid '90s but sadly it is no longer in business.

Just had lunch for 5 pax at the Lobster Box. Very poor quality seafood.
- grilled octopus: way over cooked and tons of unrelated garnish.
- deep fried appetizer platter for two: over cooked and over battered with old oil.
- lobster roll: served on hamburger buns. lobster was made tasted like made two days prior. No fennel flavor.
I should have gone to Tony's or Johnny fast food on the oceanside. At least it would have been fresher seafood.
